Do I need to go back to 250k?

Thinking I want to reinstall my Lollar ‘52 back into my tele bridge.

The Fralin 43 (P90) I installed required me to change the pots to 500k.

Going back to the single, do I also need to return back to 250k pots?
Is it alright to keep the 500’s?

The Dimarzio branded version is a 450 series with low friction and is a good choice for a volume pot to go with a regular one for tone.

I use my volume knob a lot so Id like something with a smooth, even taper.

Just spent how much on a WW Standard LP and the bridge pup volume sounds like you jumped off a ledge going from 10 to 9.5, smooth from there down, ugh...

The sweep you get depends on the gain level until all distortion is out of the equation.

I'm only running my kit amp JTM45 at about 5-6 (noonish) on the volume.
Anymore and its really loose, the breakup isn't pleasing.

And my cab is kinda bass heavy.
Bass just about at zero.
