Digital Igloo (Eric Klein, YGG)

Does the Stadium have a way to save favorites? What an excellent tool that's given little importance. I miss it so much when I work with other pedalboards.
Oh yes. Thousands of favorites organized across nested folders, named and organized however you like. Once we get user-editable Focus zones, you could also consider those as five per-model favorites that always appear when the model is loaded and can be morphed between.

Additional favorite types (both processing block and non-processing block) are hopefully dropping next year.
Are "Favorites" importable and exportable as well?
Huh. Not sure; just asked Brandon and Scott.

EDIT: Yeah, importing favorites is doable, but not right away. We recommend people keep their Helix/HX backup files (and perhaps individual favorite files) for a while.

Hi DI,
must be already answered anyway :
will there be a last update for veteran Helix MK I ?
If yes : end of summer, fall ?
Thanks

I'm sure there will be eventually, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's years away. Whatever we make for Stadium that works within the architecture and DSP considerations of Helix/HX could certainly be added in future firmware updates. So at the very least, new cabs, new effects, new quality of life improvements, certainly bug fixes (like DC offset in certain amps!)... Not quite sure about new HX amps yet, as Agoura was designed to not just be more dynamic and better feeling, but faster to implement. Jury's still out.

Remember, Stadium doesn't replace Helix/HX, it's a new product line above Helix/HX. As far as we're concerned, all Helix/HX SKUs are current products and as long as they remain successful, they should be treated as such. Now if Helix/HX sales completely drop off a cliff, there may not be much incentive for us to continue piling more money on top of them—we clearly understand the sunk cost fallacy—but nothing indicates that'll happen anytime soon.

By extension, I imagine POD Go/Wireless would then also get some of the new stuff, again, depending on what fits.

It's probably been asked but I'm putting in my vote for a few amps to be added to Stadium's lineup as soon as possible:

The ones I feel like I need:
Peavey 5150
Dual Rec Rev G (and/or Triple Rec)

And it would be pretty cool if:
Dual Rec Tremoverb (no one has a model of this that I know of)

Quad Cortex actually had the Tremoverb from launch, but it wasn't great from what I personally remember playing it.

I think if we're talking about pretty cool Mesas no one has a model of......the Badlander is THE ONE right now.

Lol. I have a QC and didn't even see it on there. Will have to check later but thats a shame if it sounds off.

The Panama EV doesn't work for you?

Mark VII would be killer too

Excellent point. I was thinking about Agoura amp models. TBH, I tend to forget the Stadium will have the existing Helix models lol. I don't currently use a Helix so I don't know if the existing one would work well. Maybe it would/will. 👍

What's the difference between the brilliant German Xtra or the EV Panama that Helix released recently and the Agoura? These emulations are excellent. Will they be repeated like Legacy and Agoura?

Totally different modeling methodologies. Nothing's getting replaced; any existing HX amps we redo with Agoura will move the HX version to the Legacy subcategory. It's important to keep them anyway because they use up less DSP.

  • Any plans to provide factory "captures" when Proxy launches next year? Like a sampler to get users started on proof of concept?
  • Will Paul make his settings/presets from the existing videos available to users or are these going to be factory presets?
  • Do y'all intend to do a Stadium tour in the US like YGG is doing in Australia?
  • What's your favorite current esoteric or crazy pedal/effect plugin?

  • Not sure yet. If not when Proxy launches, presumably later
  • Not sure yet. Hope so. We have new clip-centric videos coming out with additional killer players and those could end up factory presets as well
  • Between you and me, we shouldn't have even done that Australia tour. Stadium's far from being done
  • Oooo. Off the top of my head, maybe Cableguys ShaperBox? I think Sugar Bytes Effectrix is more popular but there's rarely a time when I open ShaperBox and don't find (or create) something inspiring within minutes. Also really like Valhalla's free Super Massive reverb.

Last set for today:
  • As factory presets are still being done, are you giving any particular instructions like "Make sure it has snapshots/options" or "Make sure it has humbucker AND single-coil options"?
  • Are you leaning towards organizing them in groupings (e.g. first 22 being Agoura amps, second 22 famous song presets, next 20 direct, next 20 bass presets, etc.) like the HX Stomp presets or more free-for-all like the big Helix Floor presets?
  • Do YOU have a personal favorite form factor between the Stadium Floor and Stadium XL?

  • Yes. We've written a white paper for preset curators. It's detailed but not crazy; only 4 pages long with pictures
  • We requested that factory presets include Agoura amps but if a curator really gravitates toward an HX amp, that's totally fine—whatever gets them the result they want
  • XL for sure. I can't live without the scribble strips and use the treadle to control all sorts of things like delay time/feedback, Amp gain, filter sweeps, etc. Static sounds are boring

I feel seen with the last bullet. I've never been much of a wah person, but I see sooooooo many uses for this pedal given all of the power and versatility at my command.

I use expression pedals. I just need them to be located separate from the main unit in order to use them comfortably.
