The entire episode has been a prime example of "fuck around and find out". Which might even be ok (well, I'm admittedly talking out of experience here, so I'd sort of hope it's ok...) but once you went that path you can take the results one or the other way. Our possibly shredding friend decided to take it the other way.

It kinda does remind me of the Army lmao - if you were a dipshit, EVERYONE made sure you knew it, leadership would really only have to step in for the absolute dipshits that couldn’t be smacked upside the head with the stick they had up their ass.

@DigiPOV My best guess is you've screwed up your signal path somehow if you are continually hearing some level of "clean" tone along with heavy OD? Maybe post your patch...it could be something obvious to someone with more familiarity. My $.02... It was something that jumped out at my ears...

Yeah it was really weird. He was super kind and then started to make jokes against me. Then I made a snarky comment back about his crazy high post count in 3 months time and then he went balls out.
There must have been more going on and I was just his way to blow off steam which is fine. I really hope he is well because he seemed lonely and out of balance.

That leads to all sort of neurosis.

This is why I try not to get worked up over any of the forum stuff - and rather use humor to deescalate tension. My guess is too much emotional investment into discussions can lead to embarrassment for a few posters, so the only way out is to remove themselves from that feeling completely.
