I have been down here for 13 years. I don't miss the cold, snow or dryness at all, not even a little bit.
I miss drinking hot cider and having it warm you up, that’s as close to any of that that I miss.

I am maybe an hour North of you and it was colder here. I didn't want to get out of bet this morning because it was warm and I knew my bathroom was an icebox. All my best friends/family are up there in Maine, NH and Mass. I lived in all 3 states for the first 25 or so years of life, which you’d think would make a me a bit more immune to cold weather, but I acclimated to Florida before I even got off he plane when I moved here.
It was 75 yesterday, in the 80’s the day before. I wake up today and-

I’m wearing 3 layers.
Well, the weather here calls for that right now.I miss drinking hot cider and having it warm you up, that’s as close to any of that that I miss.
I was in Savannah, Georgia in the Army, and that's where I lost my resilience to the cold - I never got it back, too many 100+ degree days out on the flight line sweating my ass off. Moved back up north for my daughter's schooling/family and I hate every year from January to March (Christmas makes winter tolerable and it isn't that bad in December)All my best friends/family are up there in Maine, NH and Mass. I'm also in New England. It's dry here - New England weather - not exposed to the elements or anything though. I get it can happen, just never happened to me before. I'm 99% sure I have a crack in the horn, ugh. Here's to hoping I can get PRS or Sweetwater to help me out.
We were back in Ottawa the weekend before Christmas and you know what? That weather can just fuck right off. I forgot how much colder it is a few hours north. No thanks.Come on up to Québec its really cold here, but i love Winter its Woodshedding Weather
That’s what I’m thinking. I seriously doubt that guitar has a one-piece body (excluding the top).Poorly seasoned wood coming apart on the glue joints.
I know the top and back are laminate and I’ve read that it was like the 335, but the sides surely aren’t 5-ply mahogany - it would be such a pain in the ass to do, especially at the horns. I’m not sure if it’s an SE, but there’s a photo of one being built in this thread: https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/hollowbody-construction.44270/This is from a GW article published in 2020 that references the construction ...
The new SE versions we have in for review, however, are something of a more classic hollow or semi-acoustic guitar design. The bodies have an all-laminate build, just like the Gibson ES-335, for example. The Standard is built from five-ply mahogany; the II has the same five-ply mahogany on the sides but adds both a five-ply maple top and back with an attractive flamed figure. Both guitars have a top laminate measuring just under 4mm thick.
