Crack in PRS SE Hollowbody II

All my best friends/family are up there in Maine, NH and Mass. I lived in all 3 states for the first 25 or so years of life, which you’d think would make a me a bit more immune to cold weather, but I acclimated to Florida before I even got off he plane when I moved here. :rofl

It was 75 yesterday, in the 80’s the day before. I wake up today and-

I am maybe an hour North of you and it was colder here. I didn't want to get out of bet this morning because it was warm and I knew my bathroom was an icebox.

I was in Savannah, Georgia in the Army, and that's where I lost my resilience to the cold - I never got it back, too many 100+ degree days out on the flight line sweating my ass off. Moved back up north for my daughter's schooling/family and I hate every year from January to March (Christmas makes winter tolerable and it isn't that bad in December)

It's dry here - New England weather - not exposed to the elements or anything though. I get it can happen, just never happened to me before. I'm 99% sure I have a crack in the horn, ugh. Here's to hoping I can get PRS or Sweetwater to help me out.
I'm also in New England.

They did ask about how I stored the guitar. I keep my office humidified in the winter. It'll occasionally hit 30% when it's really cold out, but usually is 35% or higher which should be fine. Once they heard that, it was a quick claim. They sent me a whole new guitar.

I went through John Mann for the warranty work. In fact, I originally took it in to just get a quote on fixing the bridge and it was he who suggested I do it under the PRS warranty. I didn't even buy it through him -- my wife bought it for me via Amazon, I think.

FWIW I keep two of these in the sound hole of the guitar now, in its soft case: https://store.bovedainc.com/collect...tJyaSZe3XojEQVuS5RcLTeLvUEPy55gaaMku_fUYTGQkq

I have to swap them out about every other month.

I keep two in my J45 case as well.

They work great, especially in hard cases that close tight.

I don't case my PRS Hollowbody Spruce or my 594 Semi-hollow, but like I said above: they live in a room I spend a lot of time and effort humidifying in the winter.

I also keep one of these in my office to keep an eye on things:

This is from a GW article published in 2020 that references the construction ...

The new SE versions we have in for review, however, are something of a more classic hollow or semi-acoustic guitar design. The bodies have an all-laminate build, just like the Gibson ES-335, for example. The Standard is built from five-ply mahogany; the II has the same five-ply mahogany on the sides but adds both a five-ply maple top and back with an attractive flamed figure. Both guitars have a top laminate measuring just under 4mm thick.

I know the top and back are laminate and I’ve read that it was like the 335, but the sides surely aren’t 5-ply mahogany - it would be such a pain in the ass to do, especially at the horns. I’m not sure if it’s an SE, but there’s a photo of one being built in this thread: https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/hollowbody-construction.44270/

Edit: If it’s plywood sides, I can buy that, but that horn has to at least be a chunk of mahogany to allow them to carve into it like that

UPDATE: Sweetwater is taking care of me (this is why I only buy online from them). BUT, since they don’t have any models to replace it with, I’m putting the money towards a piezo model in Orange Tiger Smokeburst 😍🤙😎. I think this one has a stunning grain pattern!
