I have not abandoned or grown bored with the forum after an initial flurry of activity.

All things have now been set aside as I'm working oilfield hours on the course I mentioned I had started.

It's going well

But even my wife who scolded me to do a career change course and give up on the oilfield is now complaining she doesn't see me, and the course is remote
