This looks interesting!

Big Time is a hybrid echo that revisits the mixed-up circuitry found in rackmount delays from the early 80s. It blends the best of analog and digital to give you all the space stuff you could ever want:

Modulation, echoes, ambience, loops and more, bursting with character.
The everything-sounds-good of analog, the anything-is-possible of digital.

Made in collaboration with
Electronic Audio Experiments.

Nope.

Yes, it is very expensive. And I'm not sure I'd trust the faders etc. for use on a board for gigging over years. But I'd still like to play around with it.

It's an incredibly intriguing device, and I would love to have one, but at that price there are many others more worthy of attention.

They overcooked this one. Sounds fine, but it’s way overthought and overdone imo.

And it doesn’t really give off any vibes of the 80’s rackmount delays it’s supposedly drawing inspiration from.

I’m sure some dudes will pull some cool shit with it tho.

Cool sounds in that ambienttrash demo but the fact there's no way to read out the actual delay time in ms is baffling. Sliders make sense on the CXM reverb seeing as it's doing Lexicon 240 cosplay but I don't know how well it gels for delay.

Eventide Rose has the analog feedback path/filtering and sample rate modulation a'la PCM42 for anyone who wants to do the square wave modulated pitch jumps & time stretching sound on sound layers in a much more sensible (albeit mono) format.

P.S if you're on a fractal attach a square modifier to the mono Tape delay, run it into a big reverb and you're also there.

And the vibe of units that the target audience has never even been in the same room as. BS like the format.

I've always wanted to give these motorized sliders pedals a go but have never found one used cheap enough to even consider.

I appreciate someone is actually trying to do something different in a market of too many copycats.

I imagine I could build something with a Fractal VP4 that does kinda similar things. Might take every block it has tho and require a lot of modifier programming!
