Celestion Digital - Mesa/Boogie Backline Heroes

I think the value of the Celestion stuff lies firmly in having speaker options that are not well covered by other vendors.

E.g try to find Alnico Gold IRs, let alone the 10" model and it's surprisingly tough.

Speaker cabs I personally had, i.e. the Lonestar 1x12 OB, and two of the widebody ported 1x12's (one V30, one C90) aren't represented anywhere else. So that might be really cool.

I have bought some Celestion IRs during their Blackfriday sales (50% off) and other package discounts (Like the magnificent 7 for example) - at that price point they are more reasonable.

To those that have used Celestion IR’s before: anyone know the difference between “high gain” and “low gain” IR’s, as far as what the actual difference is?

Celestion packs are really hit or miss IMO. Less consistent than Ownhammer or York. Good ones are nice and pretty neutral sounding though.

I think the high gain ones are a mix of brighter IR's and the low gain and warmer?

Looks like probably some EQ - hi gain less highs, low gain more highs.
