One of the frustrating things about the new busking amps is the design decision to connect the Gluetooth input to the Aux In, which means that the Aux In cannot be used for live instruments any more because of the latency. I have a friends that would like to use a mixer through the Aux In to jam along, but the latency is unworkable, particularly for percussive instruments.
Not only that, but this change in functionality (from the previous Gluetooth days) is not mentioned in the marketing hype, which means that it only becomes eveident after some time with many musicians, often after the return period closes. This is true of the recent Boss, Roland, and Positive Grid units. The Joyo BSK-40 happily provides independtent BT and Aux In inputs (as well as a OTG input for iPhone modellers). I restsurned it after some deep anguish because of other factors, and I discovered my Mackie Freeplay Live (current version, which has the offending BT function - where the original did not).
For busking, I am going to revert to my old Roland CM-30s which sound fantastic, and use a power station (Omnicharg Ultimate) - if I need bluestooth in, a reciever is pennies on the dollar, and I can attach a dual 1/8" iput if I need both. Or better yet, a mixer like the Mackie Mobile mixer for increased inputs, and also has a Bluetooth input to go into the Aux In. O f course, some of my modelers have an Aux In themselves; e.g. my Ampero 2 Stage (which also can be set up with a mic input (as can the Ampero 2)
To me, this is an important issue, and one that a cusomer should be aware of when considering the purchase of a portable busking amp..
Just sayin' ....
