They have a new album releasing todayJuly 18th🤘

I still prefer the more raw, in-your-face this band had mid-'90s, but this is good shit.

I'm even conflicted about 60 Ways to Forget People, because it's ingrained in my brain and yet one step away sounding like a Sleep Token track (which i hate ). But... it works. Gavin Rossdale has a knack for writing memorable choruses and hooks.

Man, that dude’s voice sounds exactly the same as it did 30 years ago.

I’ll check this album out at some point. The first time I ever felt like one of the cool kids was when a couple schoolmates started playing guitar because of “Glycerine” and “Machinehead” and since I had already been playing 2-3 years at that point and knew how to play a few of their tunes I got to be the ‘good guitar player at school’

Conversely, in the late 90’s when I was hardcore into Vai and Dream Theater and the other guitar players at school were into Korn and Deftones, they called me “virtuoso f@g” :rofl

First cd's I owned were Bush, the Batman Returns soundtrack, and Weird Al :rollsafe

I was going to ask if it was Danny Elfman that did Batman Returns but then remembered that one is also a Burton film, of course Elfman did it. I had the Batman Forever soundtrack because I loved the shit out of U2's "Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me" or whatever the title is. Still dig that song quite a bit, love the layered guitars and whammy pedal use throughout the whole thing.

I just had to look up that Flaming Lips song - never knew who it was back in the day - but that was the other one I remember vividly from that movie
