Not sure if these are yet officially launched, but Blackstar has three new floorboard modellers (3 foootswitches, 3 fs + exp pedal, 8 fs + exp pedal) already listing for sale online.

The real kicker is the price: €200, €250 and €300 respectively. Very interesting.

Actually, it might be rather interesting if it sounds really good because it’s so simple to use and I’m guessing there’s probably a editor you can hook up to your phone or whatever but I kind of like these simple displays on things that are not so deep

I will say this, the Blackstar Amped 1 that I have sounded better and took pedals better than the Orange Rocker 15 tube amp I had. Could just be the one thing, but I was pretty surprised how well that did for being a solid state amp with some digital front end stuff.

That said, it's weird they would release modelers that seem straight out of 2000, but hey maybe someone will buy one.

As I said in the other thread on these: Interesting. They're still wringing products out of the same preamps they offered on the ID:TVP amps from over a decade ago. But I could definitely see some people getting value out of this, especially if they liked those old amps.

I mean, Blackstar products do have a sound of their own, but for $200 i'd much rather have this than some low-cost box from Valeton or NUX.

I’m not totally against these as the price is right.

@timbuck3 I’m surprised that’s your reaction considering the big one is so damn close to the Tonelab SE. I guess it’s more kinda like if I asked AI to make me a Tonelab SE.
Well, I kind of took back the “ meh” they look ok but the gx1 looks better to me for less
