Best preamp pedal you’ve ever used?

I’ve only tried a few, and only liked 2 so far, but the Soldano pedal is a big win for me. Bought a Bogner one the other day and hopeful for it as well.

What preamp pedals do you love most?

I like the Strymon Riverside. Its active EQ makes it rather versatile, and it works just as well as a drive for a clean channel as it does for a boost on an overdriven channel.

It's not a proper preamp pedal though as it cannot drive a poweramp. I slapped a 27V Hudson Broadcast clone after and got a frankly pretty great Marshall-ish tone out of that combo.
