Hi guys,
I'm thinking about switching out the pickups of my LTD Arrow to a Fishman Fluence Modern set. The guitar currently has a 3-way pickup selector and a single master volume knob and EMG pickups.
I'm wondering what the best/most versatile but still not overly complicated control layout for the Modern set.
My idea is to add two 3-way mini toggle switches between the pickup selector and the volume knob, each controlling the 3 voices of the two pickups independently. This means that I could select voice 2 on the bridge pickup and voice 1 on the neck pickup, and either mix them with the middle position of the pickup selector, or just switch between them quickly.
I'm also interested in the low gain mode of these pickups, and for that, I'd use a push-pull volume knob that would engage low gain mode on both pickups at once.
Is this an overkill? Should I only use one 3-way mini toggle switch? What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance!
