Battle of the compressors

The only compressor I've liked is the Diamond. It just makes everything sound better. It'll get a bit squishy if you want it to, but I think most people use it in much more subtle way. One of those pedals that doesn't seem like it's doing much until you turn it off. Sounds great on bass as well.

The Cali76 stacked is like that as well. Brilliant pedal.

I bought both of these last year and really like the Warm Audio.

I haven’t mounted the KT in the desk yet but on a quick test to check it was working when it arrived it sounded excellent.

Imagine if compressors were something living, and they decided to battle... to kick each others ass...
The harder they hit the less damage it will do, so they'd end up touching and patting each other lightly.... but it hurts like hell.

This is my first time seeing a "vu" meter on a pedal.

It’s as accurate as the one in there WA76-D single channel clean gain discrete FET Compressor.

Compressor is a first in chain always on effect for me. I use it as a buffer and to even up and fatten up the signal. I have a pile of them but I haven’t found one better than the Keeley Comp Plus for what I do. It does the things and stays out of the way at the same time.

If a compressor isn't compressing, then it is just a boost.

If I use a compressor it’s either a studio type to control things but not really an effect, “or” a full on obvious effect and my favourite is a vintage dyna comp . I quite like the two knob Keeley but the old dyna comp is the sound in my head ( not a new one, different.)
