anyone who can answer a ? on Digitech GSP5 rackmount

hello. new here. i was wondering if anyone here is knowledgeable on the rack mount Digitech GSP5. i picked up a clean operating unit and have downloaded the manual, but have a question i would appreciate any input on. i don't know how many owners this unit has been through, but over the years it has been loaded with untold data. i would love to dump all the data and go back to the original settings so i can start fresh. the manual has an appendix that references this but i have no idea how to go about doing it.

does anyone know how this is done?

You need a MIDI interface and a MIDI librarian software that can accept SYSEX dumps (like MIDI-OX on windows or SysEx librarian for MacOs.

The GSP5 should have a utility function in its menus to start the dump

thanks for the fast response Albert. i was afraid it was going to be something along those lines. checking on MIDI software prices pretty much kills this notion

Yeah that would be one way.

Do you have any interface at all? a lot of them include midi ports.
