Oh, he's a bit of a weird dude - in a good way.
You simply can't dedicate as many of your hours as it must take to get this ridiculously proficient at anything,
and still end up with a completely level head on your shoulders.

Did you know that Shawn Lane not only couldn't balance a checkbook but also never drove a car his entire life?

I met him in LA in the late 1980's, great player, very humble and polite too .
