Any KSR bros here?

I wish life worked like this but stuff like this is why Blackstar exists. Revv obviously sounds way better to me but totally nondescript and generic sounding imo.
Yeah we've talked this through before. I hear really nice things in the modellers. It is entirely possible that the real life thing just doesn't live up to it. I'll find out one day!

I don't think the Blackstar comparison is fair. Blackstar just sounds like absolute chuff. Like the sonic equivalent of 90's NAFF NAFF jackets.

Immediately made me think of this. All the spides in Belfast where I grew up used to wear these and listen to Happy Hardcore

The Revv stuff really appeals to me. I get the impression it is kinda like having a 5150 and a Recto in the same box ???

The amp models on Helix and Fractal really do it for me anyway.
I really like my 100R, fwiw… I also got it for line $1250 shipped…

Don't have any experience outside the power amps but: same. Had the PA50 it was great. Have moved it on and have a PA100 on order that I'm super stoked about.
Oh man don’t get me started… I was super stoked for my PA-100… I am less so currently

There's a Generate 120 MKIII on Reverb for £1950, which is about a 38% saving on the new cost. But I just can't afford another amp right now.

Which version of the Sabot did you try? I have the Gen 3 and it's a top-5 amp for me. I've yet to play any other amp in over 115 different amps owned that got as brutal as that thing. Absolutely vicious sounding. I've heard the earlier generations were very lackluster though.
Agree on the Gen 3. But I have to have the internal extra gain stage active.

Ive heard the same about the revv being a dual rec (revv red) and 5150 (revv purple) but you already have a dual rec so wouldn't it be cheaper to just snag the real 5150/6505? 😀

Short test with the Ares. Been running through some different power tubes lately.
