Fwiw, my MIJ Tele had a modern style bridge and I was able to make the In-tune bridge work. The baseplate screw holes are very, very, slightly, shifted but it's doable. Just screw in the 2 center screws first and then the outers screws. String holes are aligned fine.
Some compromises though. The barrels needed be screwed closer to the end of the bridge for intonation reasons. This causes 2 "issues". First is, it brings the barrels closer to the string holes creating a bit more tension. Secondly, because of this, the saddle screws from the back are at a more severe angle, and unless you have shorter screws the end of them can be very close to string height where they come out in front of the saddle. Mine is even slightly proud of the D and G string. I just need to trim the screw down.
Fwiw, I have dunlop 6000 frets and a 7.25 radius, so this may not be an issue with flatter radii and shorter frets..
