3534 anyone?

Honestly, if I went for a small 30 Watt head; I'd be more inclined to just go for the SLO-30. I'm going to resist that urge for now, too :whistle
funny you mentioned that , I played both the slo 30 in snakeskin and the Bogner , I honestly preferred the Bogner , it was more versatile
I don't think the SLO 30 is worth 3600 CAD, I actually prefer the Synergy Module and I think for a fairly small amp head your Badlander is probably better than either IMO

Anyone tried one of these? What's your thoughts if so?
Yep. It's nice for what it is (smaller, lighter XTC).
Any time I get a smaller amp... it always makes me want the full-size version.

The Green channel was somewhat a surprise. Not as nice as Shiva cleans, but thick/round.
Blue channel doesn't have quite enough gain for my taste... but has that Blue XTC character.
Red channel (for my purposes) is a bit too much of a departure from the Blue. Loads of gain on tap
I didn't like the built-in boosts (can't control the amount... which for me was too much and too loose)
For me, the 3534 was a gateway to a full-size 20th XTC.
Much prefer the 20th. Red channel can be dialed-in as more of an extension of the Blue channel.
I believe the Blue channel on the 20th has slightly more gain (vs 3534).

BTW, I liked the Badlander (especially for crunch and heavy crunch).
Didn't like the damn fan (I'm obsessive about fan noise).

Had a SLO-30 for a brief period.
The crunch channel (as is) has a lot of "flub" on the bottom-end.
Wanted to love it... but didn't
I know a lot of folks love that amp (and the crunch channel).
Gain channel is exactly what you'd expect. If that's your jam, you'll love it.

Thanks! Great to see you here Jim!

Speaking of the SLO-30 crunch channel, it's a bit like the Green crunch channel on the Revv Generator 120 mk3.
By default, loads of bottom-end flub
With EQ, pedals, etc... you can mold that sound to be much better.

Speaking of the Revv generator 120 mk3…

Do you have any experience with any of the Diezel amps? Wondering how the Revv stacks up in your opinion to something like the VH4 or Herbert.

Great to see you over here. /m\

I don't have any experience with Diezel amps.
I've wanted to pickup a VH4, but the timing never worked out.
