I thought that for IRs you always needed a PC/Mac
And could do the standard programming via the front panel.
never worked with an AxeFX so I could be wrong of course.
What I've seen online basic editing was indeed very simple, you could probably load a bunch of IRs before it goes "offline".

Yeah, for any unit you would have to use some sort of computer to load IRs. There is really no other way to get them on any unit.

Other than that, you can do everything from the front panel on a Fractal. I still use my old Axe II in a parallel mixer with my tube amps. I feel like I am always comparing my Axe II with my MPX-1 and G Major II, trying to decide what I like better.

For the moment they are out of the budget I'm willing to spend but as far as you read they are supposed to be one of the best.

Love the Synergy stuff also! Sounds like you are using similar to me.

I have different setups, but my main rack stuff is a Synergy Syn-2 with an Intellifex and Replifex in the loop, into a Samson SM-10 rack mixer with the MPX-1, G Major 2, and Axe II in parallel loops, out into a Mesa 2:90, into a pair of 4x12 cabs.

I recently added the ENGL and now I'm going to the torpedo X or a marshall cab with black backs. That one sounds amazing.
