Wicked Tones Official

Hey all.

Figured I’d keep my Quad Cortex and Kemper “going’s on” in one place. Hopefully this doesn’t violate anything.

Anywho… I started Wicked Tones about a year and a half ago. Mainly for QC captures but then got another Kemper. I MAY add a Tone-X.

Anyway I initially did a combo of mic’d and DI but recently switched to all DI. I may revisit.

One thing I’ll mention, and I feel is most important. I have ZERO interest in trying to give EVERY switch and knob position, because let’s face it, most amps have more shitty dial-able tones than we care to admit. I’ll JB my captures tone that I think would be usable and translate out with most any cab cab and guitar. I usually use a Les Paul with medium output pickups and a V30/GB loaded cab. If the tones sound good there, they’ll translate out most anywhere.

Anyway, I’ll note when new packs are added and vid clips uploaded.

Just uploaded the KSR Orion EL34 packs this morning. Demos coming soon!

Here are some clips/vids.

New pack added. Working with Michael Lickliter on Kemper, QC and now ToneX packs.

First is the Lickliter XD20

I haven’t looked into it too much. I’ll have to see how much of a pain in the ass it is.
Its dead simple and really fast now with Tonezone3000 - literally just reamp a test signal, record into your DAW, trim the files to the same length and upload.

Available for Mac OS?
Yeah, you just reamp the input.wav signal in your daw, and then upload files to https://www.tonezone3000.com/

It doesn't matter if its mac or windows, you could even use your phone or ipad to create models and train.

All trains really quick in the cloud - an advanced ToneX model takes me about 20 hours to train on my old ass computer, and I can only reamp one file, then wait for it to train before moving onto the next one, and you can get much more accurate results with NAM over other platforms. With Tonezone I can train in the cloud as I reamp, and you can upload multiple to train at once. Its the best experience on any platform IMO.
