On my bucker guitars playing hard rock, never, have taken them out of the circuit on several.
On the tele definitely, and on my most trad strat too.

I use it more now since most of my guitars have a lo cut control also. They work well together giving a few more options than standard wiring.

I did. It's basically the same setup as the older G&L guitars, I think. So for a strat style - master volume, master tone (hi cut) and master bass cut.

I really liked the bass and treble control on the old g&l legacy I had. It was about the only thing I really did like on it tbh.

A trick on a vintage Strat to smooth out the bridge pickup with OD is default to the volume being 7. It smooths out the tone and takes the scratch off the top. Don’t expect this to make much of a difference on modellers though.
Why wouldn't it make a big difference on modellers? At least something as good as fractal units.

Use it all the time. On the EMGs in my Jackson I find that under high gain pulling the treble out just a tiny bit takes some mids first and clears up the sound without losing any drive. On my old Yamaha SG I use both tone knobs all thru the range because it has quite bright, hot pups and there's still decent clarity even with the tone rolled out all the way.

My FM-3 responds to tone knobs as much as the median tube amp, and I've had a lot of tube amps to do that calculation...

Yes, experimentation with the tone and volume knobs plus gain staging down the line. Lots of new sounds coming out of the same rig are available that way.
