What is your solution for stripped screw holes on pickups with paper/fiber base?

Fender Custom Shop Fat'50. Both holes are stripped.

I have tried gluing a nut at the base with a tiny dot of super-glue, and also inserting a small piece of paper in the hole. But solutions have failed. Any suggestion?

Now I have to dismount the pickguard again. Did I ever say how much I hate vintage parts?

I've cut little squares out of a coca cola can before to put on the tabs and then screwed through those

You can mix some fibre shavings with epoxy and add it to the hole redrill and start again but you will probably need to cut the thread of its prone to strip again.

i was gonna say just that. make an improvised nut out of aluminum!
