Their headstocks are stupid but I kinda dig that they're made in Germany and assuming their claims are true they should be pretty cool '59 clones. Minus the stupid headstock, of courseThey look like pretty nice guitars, while I don’t dig their Strat headstock, all their cases are badass and I want all my guitars in them.

The headstock looks similar but it's kinda stupidly not the same. It's elongated and goofy looking.Yeah I can see easily why we can’t get them here
made in Germany
Good lord, that is beautiful. I'm with drew though - the headstock doesn't really look elongated? Certainly looks better than an Epiphone headstockThis is the one in question. I have a Tokai LS1R9 which is basically a MIJ Tokai custom made for Faber Germany. I love that guitar, it's amazing so I'm curious about other such alternatives.Maybach Lester Midnight Sunset 59’ 2022 - | Reverb Romania
Amazing Lester 59 aged in Midnight Sunset with Amber Spiri of 59 pickups.reverb.com
Actual R9s are stupid expensive in Europe.
Is it elongated or is it just that it’s lacking anything in the middle that’s making it look elongated?
You can buy ‘em off Reverb and have them shipped to the states!
I think the middle shoulders are rounded off. The gibson headstock is more .. masculine.Good lord, that is beautiful. I'm with drew though - the headstock doesn't really look elongated? Certainly looks better than an Epiphone headstock
have no idea. My MIJ / German Faber Tokai has a pretty much identical headstock to a 59 Gibson.ALWAYS a good thing when it comes to quality and precision engineering.
Wonder how the Gibson lawyers go after a German company? It's not as easy as with imports from Asia.
Ever tried one yourself? What was wrong with it?Better end Epiphone quality pretending to be high end. Imagine if Franklin Mint made guitars.
Yes a few. Totally ordinary cheap to lower middle range guitar shaped object with pompous childish marketing.Ever tried one yourself? What was wrong with it?
Makes sense. Which three brands would you say offer the best '59 clones outside of Gibson and Epi?Yes a few. Totally ordinary cheap to lower middle range guitar shaped object with pompous childish marketing.
I think the heel comes with the territory and if you take it away you loose something. This is why PRS actually extended it on the CU 22 and 24, it also helps enormously with keeping the end of the fingerboard in check. I think the solution is just alter your technique to accommodate it. Les Pauls always played like hell from much above the 12th.@Eagle Are there any carved neck heel single cuts you like, like the Axecess neck heel style for upper fret access? The traditional neck heel was the reason I stopped playing my LP; it was destroying my wrist.
Or is there anything out there in any body shape that has LP thickness to the tone but with great upper fret access?

I’m sure if you can cope with the cutaway and the terrible balance the heel is not going to stop you. Go look at a John Sykes video
