First thing I use is a Monster 1100 Power Bar from the wall socket.

My rack units have Humfree tabs so the units won't create ground loops and I use Ebtech Hum Eliminators to defeat hum, hiss and not allow any signals to come thru my cables and convert my signal from unbalanced to balanced.

I use a Monster 2500 Power Conditioner to power my whole rack/ pedalboard / Crate Power Blocks and ETA PD-9 Power Conditioner to handle the lower Watt gear .

For my pedalboard is powered by a Decibel Eleven Hot Stone Deluxe .

I frequently play a local Casino and man, the noise was unbearable; RFI, dirty electrical power, hum from neon lights and occasional power drops/surges.
Now, those problems are gone.

You appear to live in a parallel universe with different physics.

I use a filtered IEC power inlet module in all my amps.

Never heard of these. Thanks for posting the pic.

I see they work with 200-ish V voltages and 50Hz.
Do they make a noticeable difference or is it more of a prevention measure?

I learned about those from Larry - that's a gutshot of one of his amps.

Here's the one I put in my JCM800 a while back.

I think I bought it from Amplified Parts.com

Just search for a fused, filtered IEC inlet module.

I learned something new today, thanks!

Do they help with the noise floor in any noticeable way? I guess they do if you have them in lol - just asking for my own sanity, thank you.

Noise gets in no matter what you do.

All of the outlets in my home studio are "home runs" - meaning there's no fans, compressors, etc on the circuits.. they run from my studio straight back to the distribution panel.

But noise will come in from your electrical provider. It will be induced from nearby sources (radio towers, neighbor who is a HAM radio operator, etc)

These devices are a cheap, easy way to stop that shit right before it gets into the amp.

I think each one took me about 30 minutes to install, and that was mostly to use a Dremel to enlarge the chassis opening enough to accommodate the IEC modules.

First thing to check is the guitar wiring.

I thought mine was well wired and then I moved to a new place and it’s was a nightmare, buzz, noise.
I decided to redo everything by myself (first time shielding, wiring my guitar). Spent a lot of time doing it and now everything is dead silent.

I noticed that sometimes noise can come from anything. A usb cable, a phone charger, a wart.
So before buying those expensive cleaners be sure to check everything before.

I have a couple Greenwave filters plugged into the wall in my music room that I plug a couple Furman power conditioner strips in to. (Which I then run all my gear to)
