Vai loses guitars/gear, still does show

Vai did a gig overseas and none of his guitars or rig showed up, so he borrowed stuff from fans and did what you'd expect a legit badass would did and killed it regardless.



Funny, I think it was just yesterday I read someone's post where they were worried about their reverbs sounding off to the audience due to an FM9 update.

It’s one thing to grab a new guitar in a store and set it up for a show, but grabbing a fan’s guitar is a bit risky. Hahahahah they‘d probably get 60 seconds into setting mine up and say “Oh no, I’m pretty sure the headstock is going to snap off by the 3rd song”

I saw another professional guitar player borrow guitars when in other countries. His disclaimer was that his tech would put his strings on it and adjust the setup to his specs. Those people that loaned a guitar out now own one that has video footage of the pro playing it.
