I just remembered that I have a pair of these (EL34/6CA7 to EL84 converters by THD) sitting in a dusty box full of old / NOS toobz.

I got these pair back in early 2Ks as a tonal alternative.

I need to dust 'em off!

Interesting, I did not know that stuff like this existed....

However I think I'd vastly prefer something that converted the other way around?? :ROFLMAO:

Different tones make the world go around. :clint

I've modded my Marshall a few times since I tried these (it used to be a stock JTM45 reissue), but theoretically I should get something along the lines of an original 1974 18W from the late 60's ("Baby Bluesbreaker").

I have a pair of the groove tube converters. Used to run them in my Legacy combo a lot. Was still loud but wouldn't tear your ears off.
