Tell me about Morley Wahs?

Now that they've been shrunk down somewhat (been a while but I only just found out), they seem quite attractive and convenient, and the wah lock model looks especially nice.

I'm not especially rabid about vox/Crybaby wahs, I dont think a wah HAS to sound like that, in fact I prefer colorsound and boomerang wahs.

So, how do they sound?

I have one of the 20/20 series wahs. I'm pretty happy with it. They have a wider frequency sweep than a crybaby or vox and work well with different instruments. the middle of the sweep seems to be best for guitar, but you get used to it.

Colorsounds have a wider frequency sweep to, and what you've said is the impression I get from vids etc, so I think I might like them. I should try one apparently because the rocking action is *different*?

I have the 20/20 PFW and I like it very much. As has been said, the sweep is broader and the throw a bit further than you run-of-the-mill Crybaby or Vox etc.

But nowhere near the old-school Tel Ray era Morleys.

On top of that, the switchless action is just awesome. I've been introduced to that by the Dunlop 105Q and could never go back the other way. If I had to get a wah with a switch, I'd instantly buy the GLAB (?) accessory plate along with that.

To be honest its the switchless and potless thing that appeals, especially now theyre a lot smaller.

I have a 20/20 Bad Horsie.
Although I prefer more of the Clyde wah thing, the Morley is great for most things, and has the level and contour control/switch.
