Syn50 Issue

I snagged an open box Synergy JMP module from Sweetwater for my Syn50 head and was having a blast trying it out. Just when I got a nice somewhat hi gain lead tone feeding back, the gain started to fade out and before I knew it the amp shut off. I didn’t spend much time doing any troubleshooting yet. I’m assuming at the bare minimum the fuse blew. I’ll pull it out and swap the fuse and get a better look at the tubes tomorrow, but thought I’d see if some of the more technical guys have any tips.

I got the head used, and I’m thinking maybe a power tube is on the way out, but there may be other things I should check. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Power tubes would be my guess as well. When a preamp tube fails it usually just doesn't make sound.

I had time to do a bit of troubleshooting and found that the Mains fuse is the one that blew. Manual says if the HT blows it is due to a power tube. I talked to my Sweetwater rep and he opened a support ticket for the preamp, so when I get new fuses I'll play through my known good preamps for a while to make sure there is nothing wrong with the head itself. Sounds like they are willing to make a change or get it fixed one way or another if the preamp did cause the issue.
