Spoken like a player that sits on a stool in front of his amps, rather than standing looking down at them at a gig/rehearsal. It also doesn’t have MIDI…I do loathe the design of that head though. Just because they wanted to use the combo chassis they made an amp where the knobs are in an impractical place.

Score! You were smart to snag it. Those mofos are hard to find nowadays.… and amp #2 followed me out the door

I had a moment in the store… it was actually a little embarrassing. AC30s and Telecasters were my thing for so long through more gigs than I can remember, but I haven’t played one since going digital about 10 years ago.
I saw this one, grabbed a Tele, plugged in, set the knobs where I remember always setting them… and after I hit the first chord I got all choked up and emotional. So many memories came to me and it was just instantly my sound.
I am beyond happy right now. I’m home
Nice! If that’s “your amp”..never let it go, even if you ever get a “digital kicker” again. For reference and a rainy Sunday morning session alone they are worth it.
(Bookmakers are calculating the odds of you trying capture tech the next 12 months though)

In any case congrats on the new amp! What cab are you using with it?
Oh man I’m jealous! I’ve been keeping an eye out for one of the vox AC15/30 heads for a while now.
Does this one have the built in attenuation?
Nice. I like how the heads look. What speakers are you pairing with the head?
How much was it..curious
What is it that the models miss, in your opinion? I’ve spent some time with a pair of 64 AC30s and they were in fact transcendental, as you said. I don’t use AC30s much in the digital realm. If you’ve never played a real Vox ac30 you owe it to yourself to try one sometime. Digital emulations don’t do it justice.
I just plugged my Strat -> DynaComp -> Notadumble clean side -> top boost channel up half way -> g12h30 and I swear I had an out of body transcendental experience, haha

Boulder will do that to you.Transcendental???!! Man, you been hanging out in Boulder way too long, Bruh!
We got to get you back to Earth, with your feet firmly on the ground, before
you wisp away into Nothingness, Met.
With that being said.... I will offer up this Most Sacred Of All Chants to try and help:

I do love Marshalls. It will probably be a while, but the next amp I buy will be a Marshall of some sort.
I came this close to buying a 1987x before I found this ac30 head.
