Shoes

L.L. Bean camp mocs. Comfy as hell. Works with a suit, jeans and T-shirt or shorts (no socks).

Asics Gel Kayano 14 for everyday and Gel Nimbus for walking/running/workouts. Also have a pair of the New Balance 610T for everyday which, after a gel insole, are pretty comfortable for me.

I go through a lot of running shoes. Sometimes I'll get 50 miles into a pair and decide I don't like them, then those become walking around shoes.

What do you all like for every day shoes? Any brands or styles you like or avoid?

I basically go to DSW (chain shoe retailer) every 1-2 years and get a pair of whatever seems comfortable and doesn't look ugly. Lately it was a pair of New Balance sneakers but those things fell apart really quickly.

I've got wide feet so a lot of the usual suspects (Vans, Chucks) don't work out.

My feet are large, but not as large as my dad's. I don't have a lot of shoes (2 pairs only) but it's always better to have quality sneakers which you will wear all day than many poorly made pairs.

I don't remember their brands but I had bought them online during COVID and the names printed on them are worn out.

One pair is Lilac, the other is Lavender.

Currently carhartt boots at work

Otherwise Birkenstocks 90% of the time

if its snowing/too wet/etc, DCs

Brooks for work. Old AF crew. On the show front; got tired of wearing Vans style shows when we play shows and walk around like an old man the next day because I didn't have any arch support. Been wearing some Hey Dude clones that are super cheap but much better padding.

wow, sorry boys, shoes are FIRST!
then gear

any other way is masochism

I bought my Aldens in Times Square in 2009...$700US
I love them, but I wear my paraboot wing tips way more and they are much more comfortable than the Aldens
Alden are pure class

that same trip, the salesmen suggested some paraboots...which I still have and have been rebuilt once...I'd love to get them rebuilt again...I don't know if that's possible, though

I best take some photos and share

This is the last haul I made when I went shopping in “The Big City”….there’s New Balance, Brooks, Pikolinos, etc.

I do have a bit of a shoe problem…

For years DM's, until a bad pair messed up my right foot for a long time.

Florsheim and Aquila for Derby and Oxfords, RM Williams for boots and Hugo Boss interview shoes.

I wear the whatever pair of running shoes, I've retired from running, is available and wear them untill they fall apart.

At the moment is a pair of blu Mizuno, next in line is a pair of Nike Pegasus Trail

During winter or rainy days I use a waterproof sneaker/light tracking type of shoes.

Red Wing for me mostly. Currently got Iron Ranger in Amber Harness, Burgundy Beckmans and some prairie leather Chelsea Ranchers.
