Schecter Basses: what say ye?

Don't know what it is, but I really dig this bass. I generally loathe EMG's for guitar, but for bass, I've generally liked them. That and the roasted neck with (modified) blocks looks awesome.

So am I. My son has an LTD AP, which is a P-bass style with a J pickup too, and it's great.

A bit of 70's Fender Jazz Bass aesthetics going on there.

My wife had a seafoam green J4 for a while. It sounded and played great, no issues at all with it. I think Schecter, in general, makes really good instruments.

Nikki Sixx has a cool looking J-4 whit relic, but I’ll be damned if I line that assclown’s pockets.

Aesthetically Schecter is a minefield, but I’ve always been really impressed by their quality! They usually feel a notch above their price point

Not specifically, no. He used to have a sig model, but I don't think so anymore.

Looks like a 5 string version of one he had played ....I also like the old schecter bronco bass he has.....now that I think about it, imma look for one of those one the future!

Edit 2 - apparently I'm in a mandala effect hole.....im misremembering again.

Thought he had one with a reverse headstock in the early days....but I can't find documentation.

That's because the latest incarnation of BC Rich bought all the abalone the suppliers had.

I pulled the trigger on a Schecter bass this morning. Should have it sometime next week. It's not as pretty as the one in the OP, but it has the J-bucker pickups I'm eager to check out.
