I’m not entirely certain that I’ve ever heard an Alan Parsons Project song.
You've never heard Eye in the Sky or Don't answer me? That is like the Classic Rock Radio 101.

Great interview by Beato, as always. I'm no big fan of all of his stuff. Sometimes I don't agree with him at all, but these interviews are stellar and need to be preserved and dubbed in several languages. And then also preserved.

I love these stories about "old time recording". They are pure romantic. I would never want to record this way. I like our modern recording, but the thought of it is just nostalgic and romantic, even though it happened wayyy before my procreation.

Because of this interview I gave Eye in the sky a full listen while driving today and well, it's amazing. Some things aren't my cup of tea and too experimental, but objectively it's stellar in sound and conception what they did in '82.

I would love to put my hands on that desk

I agree with this!! (from 1:40) They used condenser mikes because the dynamic, like the SM57, accentuate the most shitty frequencies of the guitar. I never understood the popularity of the nasty SM57! :idk Brain damage or ear damage?:rofl
