Tell me your favorite Led Zeppelin albums in order:
  1. Presence (Jimmy’s best work)
  2. Houses of the Holy
  3. II
  4. Physical Graffiti
  5. IV (glyphs)
  6. III
  7. In Though the Out Door
  8. Coda
  9. Led Zeppelin (eponymous)
Let’s see your ranking.

I would have to rank their studio albums in release order

1, 2, 3, 4, Houses, Graffiti, Presence, In Through The Out, Coda

But TSRTS is one of my top five all time live albums. Up there with Kiss Alive, Yessongs, David (Bowie) Live, and Band Of Gypsies.

It would be easier to pick songs, than albums, as they all had "moments" that defined Zep.

Each album is like a part of me, excluding In thru The Outhouse, but most especially Presence is "special" for me, as it was the 1st album I bought when it was released, as I was too young to do so previously.

Just listened to Zep's last tour with Bonzo, Pagey was surprisingly back to form on this one:

I saw them on the Friday and Sunday the last night of there Earls Court London residency back in May 1975.
Would have gone on the Saturday as well but had to go to Hammersmith Odeon for the Sensational Alex Harvey Band recording of the blue Live album.

1 is my favorite but I love them all even HOTH. Spent many days in college riding around in my beat up mustang playing Zep on my cassette deck smoking the Devil's Lettuce trying to get laid.

4, 1, 2, HOTH, Graffiti, 3, Presence, ITTOD

I really love the early stuff as I got into them with the 90s BBC Sessions double album. It’s more raw and bluesy and psychedelic. But 4 just is so finely tuned and well crafted. I like the maturity of HOTH and Graffiti. 3 is kind of tame and unfocused. After that it’s a sharp drop off.

A few are interchangeable, depends on the mood.

1. III
2. IV
3. Houses of the Holy
4. II
5. I
6. Physical Graffiti
7. In Through the Out Door
8. Presence
9. Coda

1. IV
2. II
3. Physical Graffiti
4. III
5. I
6. Houses Of The Holy
7. BBC Recordings
8. Prescence
9. Coda
10. In Through The Out Door.

Of the official live albums
1. How The West Was Won
2..The Song Remains The Same.

Lifelong Zep fan, but always hated In Through The Out Door. I have it in my collection, but probably listened to it 3 or 4 times since it was released. The band was not in a good place when they recorded it, and it shows.
I acknowledge the fact that a lot of fans love that album, but for me it just doesn't stand with the rest of the catalogue.
