Rangemaster and Treble Boosters

While I tend to find them cork-sniffety expensive, I'll have to agree about that.

Yeah super expensive but David Main definitely understands those old circuits better than most and his stash of old germanium transistors is nuts. I'd love to have a rummage through his parts stash.

I've tried a few and this one is my fave.

Treble boosters and fuzz pedals could be worth experimenting with, but they don't play well with humbuckers, buffers, etc. unless you hunt for the few that do, and they may or may not sound all that similar to the circuit they are based on. That said, the Laney TI-Boost did respond nicely in my signal chain, though I'm not sure how much of it is based on the Range Master.

It is based off of Iommi's modified Rangemaster in coalition with his Laney Supergroup amp.

On rare occasion I'll use the treble booster side of a BAE hot fuzz. Pretty sure it's based on the rangemaster. The Moog MF drive can do a cool thing too when messing with the filter control.
