powering Nano Cortex from MacBook Pro USB C...safe?

It works but Im wondering if the Nano could be drawing too much current for the internals of the MacBook USB designed purpose. I would think the 70 watt Apple power supply is capable of 'fueling' that circuitry but with the extra load of the Nano combined with whatever the MacBook battery draws am I putting too much current through the USB path?

Can Nano Cortex be powered via USB-C?

Yes. Nano Cortex can be powered via USB-C (5V-1.5A). Connect it to your computer or another USB-C compliant power source with the included USB-C cable.

Straight from the FAQ.

USB-C is safe in this regard. Power requirements are negotiated between devices; if your MacBook cannot provide the juice a Nano Cortex requires, it simply won't.
