This one is in my top 5 favorite Gilmour solos. I think I spent longer working on the tone than I did learning/practicing it! I think I'd need to record it in The Astoria to get any closer than this.

I have the PastFX TD-Y in a loop in the AxeFX, signal chain is Strat-Compressor-TDY-Chorus-Rotary-Bassman (mostly clean)-Delay/Reverb/Delay (I just used my own delay/reverb sauce, didn't even think to try recreating Gilmour's).

11 year old me is smiling ear to ear right now. This was one of the tunes that when the album came out I drove my dad batshit crazy listening to it over and over again, I know I tried playing this solo in my earlier years and I can just imagine how lovely those bends sounded!! :rofl

Sooooo sweet.

Listening to a Gilmour solo is one thing. Playing along and nailing the little inflections is unlike anything.

They'll never be able to keep our poles apart, Drew.

:cop
I'd play tummy sticks with Drewbear anytime

There's a backstage story I didn't tell anyone about when I saw him.
