Pedalboard tone!

I was shopping for a cheap pedalboard on Amazon and noticed this marketing blurb:

I had no idea the pedalboard itself impacted tone! It comes on Sunday; I can’t wait to hear how well rounded my tone becomes when I put my pedals on it!

This could be the final piece of the tone puzzle we’ve all been searching for. I’ll report back when it gets here

This is why I won't use anything but 3/4" Baltic Birch for my boards. Tried one of those Pedaltrains and it gave me a tinny sound, I much prefer the warmth of wood.

Careful maple veneer placement can remedy that though. I like to veneer under a fuzz to bring out a bit more cut.

I prefer a pedalboard that is not as well-rounded tonally and spikes the Mids. Just a touch, though.

This is why you need an eq pedal so you can compensate for the pedalboard tone if you don’t like it

What did you settle on, Met? I have been perusing cheap boards on amazon to setup
a living room pedalboard rig. You seem to have gone after about the same size I am.

That is the one! It’s got a row of LEDs on the front that light up when you play, which is the stupidest feature I think I’ve ever seen
