Octavers and speaker excursion?

I've been playing around with a TC Sub n Up and got to wondering if using it with my '80's Marshall 1965A 4x10 could damage the G10L35s. My other cabs are all EVM12L and 10L loaded so I don't worry much about them.

I'm not using the Sub 2 but I'm still not sure about the single octave so I figured I'd ask the experts. Love that cab and sure don't want to puff anything. Internet search didn't help much...but I did learn that a speaker will have 4x the excursion at an octave lower...if I'm understanding it correctly.

Damage? Very probably not. It'll give them a good rattle, but unless you're playing ungodly loud I'd say you'll be fine.

Kinda how I feel about it, but I figured maybe somebody else already made a mistake that I could learn from.

I'll probably just use the EVs at shows when I'm using it...just to be safe...but thanks for the opinion, I appreciate it.
