So, ive had a love hate relationship with my bridge ttop for a long time. i love my lester. in fact, i loved the bridge ttop. until i had it rewound because the coil broke. and then i hated it. i changed buckers to an a2pro. i could never quite get it to balance with the neck. i put a stewmac a5 in it... but never quite got there with it either.
i moved on to a special and LOVED the pickups. so figured... well.. maybe i could try a p94. ttops werent super hot.. so why not?
found a good deal on a duncan phat cat and threw it in.
so far im diggin it! has some bark to it that doesnt feel as squish as a bucker, for sure. nice upper mid texture and ring- and it hands off really nicely to the neck ttop! most balanced this guitar has ever felt since i bought in 1993
i think, save for my minor mismatch quibbles, i have a winner! maybe i can find my neck cover!
