New room is a 10' x 11' box with freshly painted walls and ceiling, i.e., a mini echo chamber.
I found a spot near the middle where if I clap I can get a pretty good slap-back echo.
Bought these and presto, instant solution. They're a 2' x 2' x 3/8" acoustic panel with the art screened on.
One picture hanger nail at the top center is all it takes to mount them cause they're so light. 6 for $110

I have one over the desk in the closet as well as two on the opposite wall from the gear rack.
