Well, I'm living out of town in an apartment for a few months, adjusting to my new day gig. After a few days here, I realized that I came down without a guitar. Oops.
I also, after decades of playing, have never owned a Strat.....and I'm not sure why not.
So:
Its a Strat Ultra HSS in Cobra Blue. It sounds, well, just as a Strat should sound. The more cork-sniffing purists/collectors will probably turn up their noses at it because of the new "noiseless" pickup design (effectively a very narrow stacked humbucker)...but I like the way it sounds and I don't miss the 60/120 Hz noise one bit.
Plus, it's not a Custom Shop model or "relic'd", so I don't have to worry about it being stolen by a lawyer or dentist.
What do you all think?
