Did you get a Helix stomp yet, OP?
The Pod Express is cool too, and cheaper. That would be an excellent choice to dip your toes into, imo.
All those actions are statistically correlated with a greater sense of fulfillment and inner peace! We can't have that kinda outcome 'round here!He started a thread on TDPRI. I fear now that he may wind up buying a Peavey Bandit, ditching cable, and exchanging his smartphone for a Nokia flip.

*sigh*I heard he was going to get some headshots and set up some interviews at local agencies.
I wouldn't want to put words in your mouth, but I'm slowly getting the impression that you like the ME-90.I never use presets. I like the ME-90 because I can set my tones by twiddling knobs like a real pedalboard. Also, when I turn the thing off and then back on, it sounds like where the knobs are set. Like a real pedalboard.
I don't even save patches. I just use it in manual mode. Like a real pedalboard. All the controls are physical.
Too trebly? Turn down the tone on my dirt "pedal". Like on a real pedalboard. It's right there.
Delay too quiet? Turn up the level on the delay "pedal". Like a real pedalboard. It's right there.
here, I color coded the damned thing so you can easily see what maps to what

You yuk it up now, but see how funny it is when he starts posting videos about his journey toward mastery of the pedal steel.

This. You really can’t get a better modeler for the price.Just do it:
FS - FM3 w/HP jack - $650
Very clean, fully functional FM3 w/headphone output(FW 7.0). It is loaded with a major commercial preset pack. $700 plus S/H/Ins. PayPal G&S for both protection. Also available is the Gator case I bought to travel with it, that has some rough but very functional padding to keep the unit tight...forum.fractalaudio.com
Doesn't meet all your criteria, but that's an amazing deal, just for the effects alone!
Edit:
Oh, and btw the factory presets and the paid ones he's selling it with, you won't even need to bother creating any, I'd wager my paycheck on.
quick video on his transition from pedals to ME90,
Nice. A lapsteel is on my 'to get' list.
