New Pickups arrived - Arcane content

So first let me say, Arcane is NOT great about communication. I had a few questions about models based on my build, style of play, etc.

They would not respond via email, text (which their site says is preferred), and socials. Crickets. Opted to bite the bullet and just ordered. They showed up today and look killer. These are the Doom 90H.

Bridge is 15.1k and A8 magnet. Neck is 7.5k and A5 magnet.

The new build should be painted the 1st week of January so then I’ll finally get to install them.
 
yeah, rob's communication is pretty much awful.

but his pickups are great.

that said, there are so many other great pickup makers that do communicate. like sean at pariah.

i heard about them through my buddy pete thorn. they make a series of pickups they call the pasadena series, which are inspired by different eras of EVH. i have their pasadena black in one guitar and it is absolutely killer.

Well if Pete digs them… I’m a big fan of his tones and playing.

Dude those look bad as fuck and I kind of want some for my LP now.

That one is supposed to replicate the broken JB in 5150 . But it sounds more like a custom custom to me. Great but not how I remember 5150 when I played it.

interesting, because i tried a custom custom many years ago and didn't like it AT ALL...way too midrangey, witih less bottom and top than i would have liked.

of course, that was in one particular guitar into a rig that is very different from what i am playing now, so...
