Can I just say I don't gig anymore. I'm retired and haven't gigged in years. I still play for my own enjoyment and occasionally jam with a couple of mates maybe once a month or so.
On retrospect, I think I have become way too jaded watching the online muso communities devolve into discussions about gear-gear-gear!, all-the-time, 24-7, when I what actually crave is the *creative* spark music itself, sharing & enjoying it, punctuated with discoveries about some great tone sculpting tools/ideas, along the way...
The last 5+ years have been difficult, on a personal level, engaging in end-of-life care for our mothers, trying to blot out absolutely insane cultural noise, plus rescuing cats non-stop due to heartless "people" dumping them after the adoption blitz during COVID lock downs
I'm on my 8th litter since the summer of 2022, not to mention adult rescues, I've never seen it this

since I started helping furbabies in 1990...
