Neck Construction - Warmoth

I’ve been wanting to get a Warmoth neck for awhile, I can’t decide on neck construction - here are my thoughts:

I strongly prefer trussrod adjustment at the headstock, not the heel. I think that obviously rules out Vintage.

Modern could be okay, due to the side adjust, but I don’t love the side adjust - though I’ve never used on. It just seems like an unnecessary component that increases risk of failing. And you still have to use the heel for major adjustments.

That likely leaves Modern Tiltback and Vintage/Modern. Which I think largely means single vs. double-action trussrod. I like the idea of a double trussrod, but how often is it necessary to use the trussrod to actively remove relief? That seems like it shouldn’t ever be needed if the neck is made properly. So it’s a question of how much do I want to have the option of a using double action trussrod.

Similarly, between Modern Tiltback and Vintage/Modern, is the scarf joint. I understand the glue joint is not likely to fail, but because of the headstock angle, any falls or bumps are more likely to incur larger stresses at some location in the neck.

I could probably go either way between Modern Tiltback and Vintage/Modern.

What are your thoughts and experiences?

I like the modern tilt. The angle isn't extreme (13 degrees), so breakage isn't as big of a concern. Even if I don't need the duel action, I'm glad it's there.

I have all forms of Warmoth neck construction except for the shorter scales, bass and baritone ones.
They're all great imo. It really comes down to what you want for a particular build. I just got one in yesterday, a modern construction maple/maple with scalloped frets and locking nut. Looking forward to putting it to use soon.
A like the double-action truss rod and the side adjustment is great for small tweaking. Very convenient.
On the tilt-back modern, some people don't like the look of a scarf joint, but I don't mind. It's much stronger than the alternative.
