Technically I got this Friday but today is the first day I could pull it out and actually use it-

I was going to hold off on grabbing one of these until I had a bigger need for one but it popped up for $300 so screw it. I knew I already dug these speakers with this head from using the same cab at a rehearsal studio a while back (G12T75's) but I plan on swapping some around and seeing what I dig more, the 1960A cab was the more important aspect.

I've got those WGS British Leads that are supposed to be WGS' take on CL80's I'm going to try first, but I really want to get my hands on some Creambacks. Found myself cranking the mids quite a bit more than I did with the EVH 2x12 but I really prefer the way 4x12's sound over 2x12's in general, even at the same volume. There's a certain congestion 2x12's can get past a certain point and that EVH cab can definitely get boomy.

I have both the A and B cabs, and neither of them was planned, either (bought them months apart). But both were in near mint condition, both were priced right, and my spirit was weak. Resistance was futile.

I really miss my old 1960AV. That one had the Marshall whatever V30s in it and it sounded awesome. Not better than the 1960A, just a useful variation of it. Would sound great in stereo with the 1960A.

This one's a 6960B, but it's basically blue 30th anniversary 1960b cab loaded with T75s. I've been rockin' this cab since 1992.
