Multi-Effects in front of Fender Twin

I recently bought a Vintage Twin. I’m the worst about pedals. There are entirely too many out there, haha. But I know that I need some to have fun.

I was going to build a small board with an HX EFFECTS and a H90. Then I wanted the ability to play silently, so I bought a Tonex One. It’s ok but the software is, difficult. So I was thinking about ditching everything and grabbing something that has effects AND amp sims for when I want to play silently.

Fractal is the one thing I’ve never played. I was thinking about grabbing an FM3 for effects in front of the Twin and the whole chain when I wanted to play silently.

Would the FM3 work well in this capacity? I was considering the VP4, but I would need amp sims so quickly crossed this off the list.

Thanks!

My advice would be to learn the Tonex software just well enough to get two good captures on your One so you can use it in place of the Twin…and then pretty much avoid the software for the most part. There is no need to keep searching, tweaking or otherwise interacting with it for a quiet practice solution.

The FM3 will work, but if you don’t already know that software, you will also have a learning curve and you can also get lost in trying and tweaking presets and different options. I think just getting a couple captures on the Tonex you already have willl be much quicker and easier.

Amalgam’s BF twin pack is pretty darn good if you want to shortcut the search and not get into doing your own captures.
