I first met Motörhead when they came into my little local village pub on a horrible wet windy dark night at the end of 1976
They looked like Motörhead but with those smelly when wet Afghan coats on .
Animal was too short to wear one.
Only five of us in the pub playing pool and they joined in .
We didn’t know who Motörhead were then .
I recognised Lemmy from Hawkwind .
We had a fun night and they bought every bottle of Brandy and a few boxes of crisps to take to an album recording session .
I stayed intouch with all of the band after that night.
We went to loads of gigs and with the newer line ups until just before he sadly pasted away

It was funny years later my daughter was at primary school with the daughter of the wife of there soundboard man who lived 5 minuets walk down the road

I always used to take the piss saying He had the easiest job in the world

Get paid to travel the world Sound check turn everything up to max and go to the Bar .
