Can anyone describe the Tremoverb for me in a nutshell?

Always heard about it, but don’t know much about it. I know Soundgarden/Thayil used it.

I’ve read @la szum is a fan, and possibly @JiveTurkey?

There is a used head near me.

Thanks.

I've had....2? Loved them. Bit more "sweeter" sounding than a regular Recto? Has a parallel fx loop that will need modding to series. Super easy to do. HEAVY amp. The combo is notorious for this. Great Boogie certainly.

I had a 2x12 tremoverb and loved it but it was heavier than the sun though sounded fantastic. It was easily the heaviest amp I ever owned.

Yes, I had the RA100 2x12 and I think the Trem is even heavier. This is a head though, so probably in 40 lb range?

Thanks, just saw the parallel loop in the manual. I’ve never had an amp with that, I don’t think.

The Trem-O-Verb™ majors in the Blues.

It's the civilized sibling to its armor-plated Biker Brother the Recto Head. But don't be fooled by its softer exterior: underneath lurks all the same deviant behavior plus a bag of tricks and a mode called Blues.

Picture a voice of velvet and leather. Rich tube Reverb hangs like smoke in the background...
tremolo pulses gently like a distant siren in the city dawn, after the rain

WAIT - STOP! But seriously: Big, HUGE notes. If we seem enthusiastic, it's because this is the most awesome big amp we make.

At the infamous Guitar Player Amp Summit of 1994, we were impressed (as were the magazines's top reviewers) that the T-verb copped the major juju of amps as diverse as the Vibro-King and the AC-30 in a field of 28 hundred watt contenders - including ones costing up to four times as much. and then went on to produce unique sounds all its own which none of the others could replicate.

Channel Cloning™, Dual selectable Rectifiers® and ALL the juicy features of the Recto® Solo Head are included in the Tremo-O-Verb, plus dedicated Reverb and auto-assignable Tremolo per channel.

The perfect tone match for all this power and flexibility are the Vintage 30's we get - specially selected by agreement with Celestion. Choose the bodacious 2x12 combo or the convenient head stacked on either the Recto 2x12 or 4x12 cabinets.

Go further and have your T-Verb custom tailored using one-of-a-kind suede and leather finishes including embossed textures representing gators, crocs, snakes and lizards. This amp is the pinnacle of Retro-Tech, combining a vintage nature with modern capabilities.

It's strange, the regular Rectos don't sound like they have no negative feedback on the modern channel even though they do not. The 1994 Tremoverb I had was obvious it didn't have negative feedback. It was balls out roaring mids.

I often chat with the guy I sold it to and he won't sell it back to me.

Not really sure I'd want it as it was the combo...

Yup. Thayil. Eizinger. And Jeff Buckley used one as his primary live amp.

Super versatile. I tend to favour the non-seterotypical Rectifier tones when
using mine. Great cleans. Takes pedals like a champ. Blues and Vintage High
Gain Modes are :chef

Those are the two modes that have my interest.

I don’t really palm mute much, more of a classic/blues/hard rock guy. Les Paul + crunch tone, boost with a pedal for higher gain. Sabbath tones would be as heavy as I get. Kind of ZZ to Sabbath is where I mostly live.

Would the Tremoverb suit this?

Yeah, that "Rectifier" name comes with all kinds of cliches and stereotypes that limit people's assumptions
of what those amps can do. To me the best tricks/tones are NOT the one-trick people tend to associate
with those amps. :idk

If you stay off of the Modern Hi Gain Mode it can give you everything you need and then some. The Spring
Verb and Tremolo included are just icing on a delicious cake. :chef

And if you want to Chugga Chugga it can do that, too.
