Yep, it's great and Mercuriall have been making really great stuff for years now.
I'd say it hasn't been forgotten at all, they just haven't got the marketting power of NDSP.
Ps. if you want a better Transpose / Pitch shifter than the one in your NDSP plugins, I would recommend checking out either Polychrome DSP's Hyper Tune, or Inner Pitch by Auburn Sounds. Both are higher quality, without artifacts and at lower latency.
* albeit, you may enjoy NDSP's transpose just fine, so it's all good if not.

If anyone already has a license for the older version of Spark, it's free/complimentary in the latest version of AmpBox.
There's a button that looks like a 'key' down in the bottom left hand corner of the plugin, click on that and you'll see your licenses and you can either buy it, or activate it if you already have it. You might need to click the 'refresh product statuses' or it might not show up.

You know, I should use hyper tune more. I’m often just lazy about opening up a daw vs the standalone plugin even though it really makes no difference. This morning I revamped my playing template, hyper tune > plini clean/nolly 5150 > josh Middleton cab > room reverb

Nice! I have a shortcut on my desktop to a jamming project template for Reaper, it's quicker and better at getting me playing than standalone options imo. In fact, I have several different portable installs of Reaper that are setup for different workflows, for example: video production / plugin testing and QA and coding / jamming / recording / mixing etc.
Some other DAWs aren't as easily customised or quick at loading, but yeah, overall it's a better experience once you have your work flow sorted the way you like it =)
I might have to try that out. I have Logic which I actually like but I’m not professional. The idea of having a shortcut sounds really appealing. And sometimes it glitches out and I have to reset the audio settings. I think reaper runs on Mac…

Matter of time before someone compares it to a real 2204, so it may as well be me.
I think it sounds cool and pretty close but the main appeal is probably the SIR mods (if you’re into that kind of thing). IMO the Neural DSP and Fractal models sound more like my specific amp.
Sort of wish the controls and text on the amp were a bit bigger and clearer too.

Nice comparison. You always have the most impressive videos. How do you like the nolly JCM vs Henson? I only have the former

I like both a lot, honestly the differences are just like the differences between a 2203 and 2204. 2203 is a bit stiffer and tighter but also a bit bigger. 2204 is more squishy and aggressive. 2204’s feel a touch nicer to play which I’d say generally applies to the emulations too
Ahh that explains why I don’t gel as much with the nolly one. Would like a little more gain and squish.

I tried Spark earlier having had it for a while (previous version) and was pleasantly surprised by the update.
I think they have done a good job with this and it might make me move away from Neural DSP for a bit of variety for a change! Nolly and Henson are my go to for this type of Marshall sound usually.
I have a few of their other amps as well that I might need to revisit.

Since the first time I tried them the Mercuriall stuff is my n1 goto plugins. It will get replaced most likely when UA get some higher gain stuff in Paradise, until then Mercuriall is where's at for me. The touch response of the Mercuriall plugins just feel right. The NDSP ones never really felt as good, the latest John Mayer one being an exception.
